Dale Neely

Chief Executive Officer

Dale began his healthcare career in 1998 as a physical therapist with HealthSouth in Florence, Alabama. After receiving his Master of Business Administration (MBA), he went to work for Hospital Corporation of America as an associate administrator and advanced to chief operating officer at HCA facilities in Georgia and Florida. He joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee in December of 2012. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Dale received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee and a MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Robert Rowland, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Rowland of Southern Medical Group, P.A., graduated cum laude from Duke University before receiving a Master of Science in Chemistry from Florida State University. He completed medical school and an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is board certified in internal medicine, a member of the American College of Physicians, and is active in the Capital Medical Society of Tallahassee.

Robert Rowland, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Carol Bugayong

Human Resource Director

Carol has more than 10 years of experience in human resources management. She brings a vast knowledge in human resources through an extensive career in the field. Carol began her career with The Target Company and continued with Bank of America, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated and Amedisys Home Health. She joined HealthSouth in 2012 and oversees all areas of human resources including recruitment and retention, regulatory compliance, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training.

Sharon Hansen

Director of Therapy Operations

Sharon brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership and physical therapy to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee. Most recently, she was a director at Capital Regional Medical Center where she oversaw therapy, advanced wound care services, hyperbaric medicine and a specialized primary care center for seniors. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Florida International University and continued her education at St. Thomas University, studying hospital administration.

Andrea Henderson, RN

Director of Case Management

Andrea brings more than 20 years of nursing and case management experience to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee. Andrea began her career as a nurse in a skilled-nursing facility before transitioning to labor and delivery at Tallahassee Community Hospital. She spent the next 13 years at Capital Health Plan as an urgent care nurse. She came to HealthSouth from Capital Regional Medical Center, where she worked as a case manager for more than 3 years. She is a graduate of the registered nursing program at Tallahassee Community College and is continuing her education at the University of West Florida.

Jennifer Spooner

Controller

Jennifer brings 20 years of accounting and finance experience to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee. In addition to HealthSouth, her background in healthcare includes working with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare as well as serving as the controller for Southeastern Urological Center, P.A. She is responsible for all accounting functions including patient business services, accounts payable, payroll and purchasing. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University.

Elizabeth Squires CRRN,BSN

Chief Nursing Officer

Elizabeth brings fifteen years of nursing and leadership experience to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University in 2001. Elizabeth came to HealthSouth in 2013 as a nursing supervisor before accepting the position of chief nursing officer. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, a certification that demonstrates knowledge, experience and commitment to excellence in comprehensive care for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses in all specialties and settings of rehabilitation.

Todd Steffy

Director of Plant Operations

Todd graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He served in the Navy Nuclear Power program for eight years and earned a Master of Science in Management from Troy State University. He comes to HealthSouth with a diverse background in the operations and maintenance of a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
